Blockoli (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Blockoli mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.

By using Blockoli, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address and name when you create an account
  • Profile Information: Age, gender, height, weight, and fitness goals
  • Workout Data: Exercises performed, sets, reps, weights, and workout duration
  • Nutrition Data: Food entries, meals, calories, and macronutrients
  • Body Measurements: Weight and other measurements you choose to log

Photos and Media

  • Meal Photos: Photos you capture for AI-powered nutrition analysis. These images are processed to identify food items and estimate nutritional content.

AI Features

  • Chat Conversations: Messages you send to our AI coach are stored to provide personalized fitness advice and maintain conversation context.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Usage Data: Features used, screens viewed, and app performance metrics
  • Crash Reports: Technical information to help us fix bugs and improve the App
  • Push Notification Tokens: If you enable notifications, we store a device token to send workout reminders and updates
  • Purchase Information: Subscription status and purchase history to manage your account

Health Data from Apple HealthKit

With your explicit permission, we may read and write the following data types from Apple Health:

  • Workout data (exercise type, duration, calories burned)
  • Body measurements (weight)
  • Nutrition data (calories, macronutrients)
  • Activity data (active energy, steps)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App
  • Generate personalized workout recommendations
  • Track your fitness progress over time
  • Power AI coaching features to help you reach your goals
  • Sync your data across your devices
  • Send you important updates about the App
  • Respond to your requests and support inquiries

Health Data Protection

Your health data receives special protection. In compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:

  • No Advertising: We do NOT use your health data for advertising or marketing purposes
  • No Third-Party Sharing: We do NOT share your health data with third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes
  • No Data Mining: We do NOT use your health data for data mining or similar purposes unrelated to providing health services
  • No iCloud Storage: Personal health information is NOT stored in iCloud
  • Your Control: You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through your device's Settings > Privacy > Health

Health data accessed through HealthKit is used solely to provide app functionality and improve your health management experience.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party services to help operate our App, including cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, subscription management, and AI processing. These providers only access data necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request.
  • Business Transfers: If Blockoli is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information with your explicit consent for purposes not covered by this policy.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • Data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
  • Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account:

  • Your data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days
  • Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes
  • Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics

Blockoli is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with our App. This helps us improve our services and fix issues. Analytics data is anonymized and does not include your personal health information. You can opt out of analytics collection in the App settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
